For most programs in the Football Bowl Subdivision, earning a spot in the College Football Playoff is a virtual impossibility. For others, it’s a realistic goal, maybe one that gets a little cloudy from midseason onward. And for a few — such as the Ohio State Buckeyes — it’s an expectation, a notch on the to-do list, an anticipated destination. The 2017 season is no different.
