COLUMBUS, Ohio — If you missed it last week, Ohio State football released new contract information for seven of the nine assistant coaches on staff. That was raises for Greg Schiano, Kerry Coombs, Tony Alford and Zach Smith, plus contracts for newly signed assistants Kevin Wilson, Ryan Day and Bill Davis. All of that contract information can be found here. Two things stood out: In comparison to other major programs, Ohio State is not paying very much for assistant coaches. And the Buckeyes are getting Schiano and Wilson for significantly less than what they would demand on the open market. We touched on all of that in a new edition of our Buckeye Talk Podcast.
