Ohio State commit Sevyn Banks wants Buckeyes fans to know more than just his name

BEAVERTON, Ore. — With a name like Sevyn — pronounced “seven” — it’s easy for people to remember you. That’s not the problem Sevyn Banks has, it’s getting people to know you in the first place. The 6-foot-1, 180-pound cornerback from Orlando (Fla.) Jones High School committed to the Buckeyes in April, two weeks after visiting the school for the first time. When he announced his decision, the reaction was tepid at best. That’s not a knock on Banks or his talent, but perhaps a sign that he hadn’t quite played up his recruitment the way others do. That’s his style. “I’m not someone who likes to talk that much,” Banks told Land of 10. “I’m coming out of my shell a bit and getting back to feeling like myself.
