Ohio State men’s athletic program wins Capital One Cup

“It is a banner day for our men’s athletics program and our university as a whole.” — Gene Smith on the Capital One Cup win, as stated in a press release | Ohio State athletics The men’s athletic program at Ohio State can boast another title: winners of the 2016-17 Capital One Cup. This is the best finish the men’s side has had in pursuit of the cup, with their previous best being third place. Ohio State’s men’s volleyball team brought home the lone team championship for the season; however, seven other programs contributed points to the Buckeyes’ 111-point total in the Capital One Cup standings. If a team finished within the top 10 of their respective league at the end of the season, they picked up points for the cup.
