Ohio State Football Players Are On The Watch Lists For The Nagurski And Outland Trophies

The Football Writers Association of America announced watch lists for the Bronko Nagurski Trophy and the Outland Trophy on Thursday, and Ohio State players are found on both.  The Buckeyes who are in the running for the Bronko Nagurski Trophy, presented to the national defensive player of the year, include fourth-year junior defensive end Sam Hubbard, junior linebacker Jerome Baker, sophomore defensive end Nick Bosa and fifth-year senior defensive end Tyquan Lewis. Baker, Bosa and Lewis are all on the watch list for the Bednarik Award, which is given to the defensive player of the year by the Maxwell Football Club. Hubbard logged 46 tackles, eight tackles for loss and three sacks last season while on his way to being named a first-team Academic All-American.
