The watch lists continue to roll out as the week comes to an end and Ohio State cornerback Denzel Ward is the latest Buckeye to appear on a preseason list. Ward was named to the Thorpe Award watch list Friday morning, an award that honors the best defensive back in Div. 1 college football each season. The last Buckeye to win the Thorpe Award was Malcolm Jenkins, who brought home the award in 2008. Ward is entering his junior season with the Buckeyes and while he has yet to record his first interception or start as a member of the Ohio State secondary, Ward has plenty of experience. Ward played in all 13 games as a sophomore and tied for the team lead in pass breakups with nine and added 23 tackles.
