Bill Rabinowitz The Columbus Dispatch @brdispatch When Big Ten football coaches and selected players convene in Chicago in a week for the conference’s media days, Ohio State will again command much of the attention. The Buckeyes under Urban Meyer are 61-6 and acknowledged as the premier program in the conference. According to online betting site Bovada, they are odds-on favorites to win the Big Ten in 2017. But they are not the current kings. Penn State is. And the Nittany Lions have reason to believe they can maintain their status. As much as Meyer and the Buckeyes dwell on their rivalry with Michigan — and that will never change — it is Penn State that could pose the biggest challenge for Ohio State this season, at least in the East Division.
