We’re counting down the top 50 Buckeyes for this season, taking into account talent, past accomplishments, team need and potential. No. 23: Demario McCall, Sophomore, Running Back Height, weight: 5-foot-9, 195 pounds. Hometown: North Ridgeville, Ohio. Where he was ranked entering last season: In hindsight we should have had McCall ranked in our top 50 entering last season, but we didn’t. He was a freshman, and we didn’t think he’d play. He didn’t play a ton, but he probably should have been on the back end of the list last year. What he’s done: McCall played in five games last year, working as the No. 3 running back behind Mike Weber and Curtis Samuel.
