BLOOMINGTON, Indiana — The coach who recruits the players who might fulfill his private prophecy is Ohio State’s Urban Meyer. Meyer is coming off something he had never before experienced as a head coach, a shutout loss in the College Football Playoff to Clemson, 31-0.  In response, he recruited the best class of high school prospects in the land. A top area high school coach told me privately in the spring time, “Urban thinks they’re going to be great. Not good, great.” The last time an Ohio State team’s season ended with confetti cannons belching in giddy celebration of winning the whole thing was in 2014.  That season ended with Glenville’s Cardale Jones, once a third-string quarterback, leading a three-game playoff sweep in relief of J.T. Barrett, who has been around the Woody Hayes Athletic Center as long as Hayes, or at least the statue of the bellicose Buckeyes coach.…
