Ohio State football: Meyer, Buckeyes prepare for step up in class vs. Oklahoma

Tim May The Columbus Dispatch @TIM_MAYsports Ohio State coach Urban Meyer, impressed by the way his team “tightened up” the ship after a shaky start in a season-opening 49-21 win at Indiana last Thursday, said the No. 2 Buckeyes started zeroing in on No. 7 Oklahoma immediately headed toward the intersectional showdown on Saturday night in Ohio Stadium. “There’s a lot of work to be done,” Meyer said after the Buckeyes’ practice Monday. “There is a great football team coming in here.” The Buckeyes won at Oklahoma 45-24 last season in the teams’ first meeting since 1983.
