Former Ohio State star linebacker Joshua Perry announces retirement from football

After a stellar career with the Ohio State Buckeyes which included a national championship in 2015, and two years in the NFL, linebacker Joshua Perry has announced his retirement from football. Making the announcement on Twitter, Perry, who was a fourth-round pick in the stellar OSU draft class of 2016, noted that he recently sustained his sixth documented concussion and didn’t want to put his future and wellbeing in jeopardy. Perry had three highly productive seasons in Columbus as a Buckeye. As a sophomore, he was featured in 11 games and tallied 62 tackles. His breakout season came in 2014; he had 124 tackles, 8.5 tackles for loss, three sacks and an interception en route to a national championship.
