The investigation of Ohio State football coach Urban Meyer is expected to be completed within 14 days, the university said in a statement released late Sunday in Columbus. Meyer, 54, was placed on administrative leave Wednesday after a report surfaced that contradicted his claim that he was unaware in 2015 that Zach Smith, the Buckeyes wide receivers coach at the time, had been acused by his now former wife, Courtney Smith, of domestic abuse. Meyer later admitted he’d been untruthful when asked about the alleged incidents. According to a statement released Sunday by Ohio State, former Ohio House Speaker Jo Ann Davidson will serve as chair of the six-person working group investigating the situation.
