Ohio State football: Board of trustees in executive session

The board meeting convened in public session for about one minute in front of a large throng of media before moving into private executive session to “discuss the employment, compensation and discipline of a public official.” Meyer has been on paid administrative leave since Aug. 1. The board is weighing his response to the allegations of domestic abuse against former assistant coach Zach Smith by his now ex-wife, Courtney. Last month in Chicago at the Big Ten media gathering, Meyer denied knowing about 2015 accusations against Zach Smith at the time.
