Things are a little bit strange right now in Tallahassee. With Jimbo Fisher gone to Texas A&M, Willie Taggart in as the new coach, and a ton of rebuilding to do, there is uncertainty at Florida State for the first time in decades. That could be good news for Ohio State, because the Buckeyes love recruiting Florida, and two of the top in-state programs struggling (Florida and FSU) is a big deal for Buckeye recruiting. We’ve seen that quite a bit in the last seven years or so, as top prospects like Joey Bosa, Johnnie Dixon, Damon Arnette, Nick Bosa, Binjimen Victor, Shaun Wade, Isaiah Pryor and an additional five signees from the Sunshine State in 2018 picked Ohio State, rather than staying in state, because the top programs are struggling.
