Last night’s NFL game between the Browns and the Jets was exactly the kind of recruiting pitch the Buckeyes love seeing. Now before the obvious is pointed out that it wasn’t Ohio State playing, there were former Buckeyes all over the field making plays for both teams. With guys such as Darron Lee, Denzel Ward, Terrelle Pryor and Carlos Hyde, the Ohio State coaching staff as well as recruits all over the country have to be impressed at the type of development going on in Columbus. With eyes on the game last night, recruiting by the staff wasn’t directly in their hands. To be honest, it may have even been better because when those former Buckeyes are scoring touchdowns or causing fumble recoveries, the notion to remember Ohio State is fresh in the mind.
