Nearly seven months after joining Ohio State’s 2019 recruiting class, Sampson James decommitted from Ohio State on Sunday, according to a report from Kyle Neddenriep of the Indianapolis Star. James is the No. 163 overall prospect in the country and the eighth-ranked running back in his class. Neddenriep noted James, a native of Avon, Indiana, has a “high level” of interest in Indiana. The class dropped to No. 14 in the country and sits third in the Big Ten behind Michigan and Penn State. Ohio State no longer has a running back committed in its 2019 class, though Steele Chambers, listed as an athlete, might play the position for the Buckeyes.
