If offensive line play drives Ohio State, how far can the Buckeyes go?

COLUMBUS, Ohio — A couple times every year, Urban Meyer will remind you that Ohio State is a “offensive-line driven program.” Throwing or running — before this year usually much more of the latter — the offense is defined by how it handles teams up front. Meyer has had lines that have struggled throughout entire seasons. That’s why 2016 comes to mind, when a young group just never quite gelled and then got really exposed against Clemson in the College Football Playoff. The program’s best offensive lines have grown each week, none better than the 2014 season when a group that struggled at the beginning of that year became arguably the best line in the country by the end of it.
