COLUMBUS, Ohio – Ohio State Buckeyes quarterback Dwayne Haskins needs 278 yards to break Joe Germaine’s 20-year-old single-season passing record. Haskins has thrown for 3,053 yards through nine games, making him just the fourth quarterback in the history of Ohio State football to top 3,000 yards. Germaine holds the record at 3,330 yards. J.T. Barrett in 2017 (3,053 yards) and Bobby Hoying in 1995 (3,269 yards) are the others to top 3,000. Nationally, Haskins is third for passing yards, first for touchdown passes and is fifth for passing efficiency. Haskins is on pace to break every major single-season passing record at Ohio State.
