AP Top 25 football poll: Ohio State, Michigan heading into tuneups for The Game


COLUMBUS, Ohio – Ohio State (9-1, 6-1 Big Ten) has moved down to No. 9 in the latest AP poll after a less than stellar win over Michigan State. Despite the 26-6 win, most of the game was close with neither team able to develop much offense. Washington State, No. 8, moves ahead of both Ohio State and LSU, No. 10, while the top seven stay intact with No. 1 Alabama receiving all 61 first place votes. The Buckeyes are 14 days away from taking on No. 4 Michigan (9-1, 7-0 Big Ten) who is coming off back-to-back 42-7 wins over No. 15 Penn State and Rutgers. Both teams will play in games that are expected to be easy wins this week before matching up against each other on November 24.
