Brett McMurphy — who also broke the news of Zach Smith’s alleged domestic abuse against ex-wife Courtney Smith — reported the altercation between Zach Smith and Grimes as the impetus for the latter’s transfer to Florida last season. Grimes’ father LeBron Grimes was the main source in the report, though McMurphy also spoke with described family friend Dennis Allen and three anonymous Florida players.
