Ohio State Buckeyes football coach Urban Meyer will retire after the team plays in the Rose Bowl Jan. 1, according to multiple reports Tuesday morning. Offensive coordinator Ryan Day will take over as coach and the university has scheduled a news conference at 11 a.m. PT to make the announcement. Meyer owns a career record of 186-32 and has coached the Buckeyes to an 82-9 record in seven seasons at the school. He has three national championships on his resume, including one with Ohio State in 2014 and two with Florida in 2006 and 2008. Meyer, 54, has been dealing with lingering health issues which have been causing him occasional severe headaches this season.
