The Ohio State men’s basketball team is off to one of its best starts in recent years. The Buckeyes, who were not projected to finish in the top half of the Big Ten this year, had already climbed into the top-25 by the middle of November and when the Week 6 rankings were released on Monday afternoon, the 8-1 Scarlet and Gray team was ranked No. 15 in the AP Poll and No. 14 in the Coaches Poll, the highest rankings of the season for the team. Ohio State began the 2018-19 season very positively. The team went on the road to open the year, defeating Cincinnati 64-56 in front of a hostile crowd at the newly renovated Fifth Third Arena. The Buckeyes followed that up with a dominating home opener against Purdue Fort Wayne before getting another quality road victory, 69-60 over Creighton as part of the Gavitt Games.…
