The main reason for missing out on the desired postseason destination was due to the 29-point loss at Purdue on Oct. 20. A closer loss — or obviously an undefeated season — coupled with three top-15 wins and a Big Ten championship would have been enough to see Ohio State get to where the team wanted to go. The consolation prize isn’t bad though. The sixth-ranked Buckeyes will face No. 9 Washington in the Rose Bowl on Jan. 1.
