When a team with national championship expectations fails to make the College Football Playoff, there’s reason to question how motivated that team will be for its bowl game. Urban Meyer’s announcement earlier this month that he will retire following the Rose Bowl, however, should ensure that Ohio State won’t lack any effort in its final game of the season. No, Ohio State won’t have a chance to win a national title this year.
