Running back Mike Weber to forgo senior season at Ohio State, will play in Rose Bowl

On Sunday night, Ohio State Buckeyes running back Mike Weber announced what many had expected, that he will be moving on to the NFL next season. The Detroit native confirmed that he will forgo his fourth year of collegiate eligibility to enter the NFL Draft, but not until he dons the scarlet and gray one last time in the 2019 Rose Bowl. Following a freshman campaign in 2016 that earned him the Big Ten’s Freshman of the Year award, Weber has battled injuries and split time with J.K. Dobbins over the past two seasons. However, in his three seasons in Columbus, Weber has accounted for 2,580 yards and 24 touchdowns on the ground, while adding 289 yards and another score through the air.
