Buckeyes push past pesky Penguins 75-56

For the second game in a row, Ohio State’s 15th-ranked men’s basketball team struggled as a heavy favorite against an outmanned mid-major opponent. The Buckeyes came through this travail just fine, however, as they took a 75-56 win over visiting Youngstown State Tuesday night at Value City Arena. OSU wrapped up fall semester exams last Thursday. But after the Buckeyes (now 10-1) struggled past Bucknell 73-71 last Saturday, they were again staring at a halftime deficit against the lightly regarded Penguins (4-9). In fact, Ohio State played one of its worst halves of this (or any other) season in the first half here. YSU led 25-22 after a half where the Penguins shot just 33 percent from the floor.
