The Buckeyes will look to make a statement in Ryan Day’s first class as head coach. Urban Meyer still has one more game left as the head coach of the Ohio State Buckeyes. But, for all intents and purposes, today is the beginning of the Ryan Day Era in Columbus. Today, on the first day of the college football early signing period, the incoming coach is expected to receive National Letters of Intent from anywhere from 12 to 16 recruits, depending on how the final decisions shake out. Over all, the Buckeyes are likely to have somewhere in the neighborhood of 20 scholarships available for the 2019 class. That final number will come into sharper focus following the Rose Bowl when the coaching staff learns who will be heading to the NFL Draft, if any players plan on transferring, or if medical issues will force players to end their careers.…
