Ohio State and Northwestern were always going to have a rematch of this year’s Big Ten Championship Game next season. Now the Buckeyes and the Wildcats will meet once again under the lights at Ryan Field in Evanston, Illinois. And that game will come with a twist. According to Adam Rittenberg of ESPN, the game has been moved from Saturday, Oct. 19, to Friday, Oct. 18, and will take place at night. Rittenberg said that Northwestern has already informed its season tickets holder of the new date. Ohio State has now confirmed the two schools agreed to move the game from Saturday to Friday. The Big Ten announced in 2016 that the conference would begin playing Friday night games starting the next season as part of the new TV deal with ESPN and FOX that also began in 2017.
