Dorka Juhasz scored a season-high 27 points and grabbed eight rebounds to lead Ohio State (4-5). Carmen Grande added nine points, a season-high nine assists and five rebounds. Jensen Caretti scored a season-high 11 points. The Buckeyes also shot well from three-point range, making 9 of 16 shots. Ohio State coach Kevin McGuff said the Buckeyes had issues late in the game not switching on ball screens on defense and missing layups and open players inside on offense. “Today we really competed and played hard throughout, but (we had) too many mental errors for us to beat a good team like Virginia Tech,” McGuff said.
