Rose Bowl: How Ohio State’s navigating coaching transition; former La Habra DL Greg Gaines impressed by stadium renovations

Ohio State is in an odd situation as it prepares for the Rose Bowl. Buckeyes head coach Urban Meyer has already announced that he will retire following Tuesday’s game against Washington. OSU’s next head coach, Ryan Day, is still serving as offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach even as he prepares to take over the program next week. But for all the impending change, Ohio State’s players insist that the 39-year-old Day is still the same guy he’s been since he joined the program prior to the 2017 season. “He’s the same guy,” running back J.K. Dobbins said, “and I think he’s going to stay that way.” Day got a little test run to start the season.
