COLUMBUS, Ohio — Ohio State is making changes to its coaching staff, with five assistants assured so far: holdovers Larry Johnson and Brian Hartline and new hires Mike Yurcich, Greg Mattison and Jeff Hafley. As new head coach Ryan Day continues to shape his first staff, here’s where things stand with the Buckeyes assistants. OFFENSE Quarterbacks: Mike Yurcich The Euclid native built a reputation at Oklahoma State the last six years, developing quarterbacks like Mason Rudolph and leading an offense that ranked in the top 10 in the nation in the advanced ratings from FootballOutsiders.com the last three years.
