COLUMBUS, Ohio — In a very short amount of time the expectations for what next season could look like for Tate Martell went through a drastic change. So much has happened surrounding the storyline of the Buckeyes’ backup quarterback who had the mindset that 2019 his year. After Ohio State’s win over Northwestern in the Big Ten Championship Tate Martell assured that he had no plans of going anywhere. He’d stick to that sentiment when he talked to reporters prior to the Rose Bowl. He confidently stated that he planned to be Ohio State’s starting quarterback regardless of whoever ended up on the roster.
