COLUMBUS, Ohio — Ohio State is in its first true slump since Chris Holtmann took over as head coach. They’ve lost three straight games, dropped out of the Associated Press Top 25 poll and still have a tough part of its conference schedule to look forward to. All season Holtmann predicted that the month January would tell the story of this year’s team and so far he’s been spot on. Many of the things the may have been minor issues when Ohio State played against inferior talent are now the main reasons for the Buckeyes’ 2-3 Big Ten record. Kaleb Wesson has taken a huge leap in his second year turning into one of the better players in the Big Ten averaging 16.2 points and 6.9 rebounds per game, but what he does when he on the floor isn’t the problem.
