That’s when the Michigan running back — prompted by a reporter — gave his awkward and ill-fated ‘guarantee’ that the Wolverines would finally beat Ohio State in football. But unlike Jim Harbaugh’s guarantee in 1986, when the now-Michigan coach offered up his own, genuine guarantee of victory over the Buckeyes, Higdon’s words mean nothing now.
