There’s a theme developing for the 2018-19 Ohio State men’s basketball team. No, it’s not poor shooting, turnovers or a lack of depth — although those are all issues too. It’s that the Buckeyes aren’t playing as physical as their opponent.Chris Holtmann first made this point when talking after the 86-77 loss at home to Michigan State in early January, just the team’s second loss of the season. The Scarlet and Gray played well but weren’t able to handle the physicality of the Spartans and it cost them in defeat. Holtmann brought the point up again, more surprisingly, after the 64-61 road loss to Rutgers four days later. That was the start of a five-game losing streak where the opponent, at times, was just tougher than Ohio State.
