Playing in front of a charged crowd that traversed sub-zero temperatures to pack Crisler Center, the Wolverines (9-1 Big Ten, 20-1 overall) weeded through a sloppy start, eventually bullying the Buckeyes (3-6, 13-7) in the second half en route to a 65-49 win. In continuing its program-best start to the season, Michigan forced a season-high 19 turnovers, saw Zavier Simpson record the sixth triple-double in school history, shrugged off shooting woes and allowed 50 points or less for the seventh time this season, winning but double digits for the 18th time this winter.
