Pickerington (Ohio) North 2021 defensive end Jack Sawyer visited Ohio State on Saturday. Today he has committed to the Buckeyes. “It was just the right decision for me,” Sawyer said. “Me and my family talked about it yesterday and we said there is no reason to wait. My family and I are really excited.” The 6-foot-5 and 225-pound Sawyer picked Ohio State over Michigan, Notre Dame, Penn State, Oklahoma and many other offers. “The way coach (Ryan) Day and coach (Larry) Johnson treat me and it’s so close to home – being right there, it’s just the best choice for me.” Sawyer sees the proximity of growing up a 25 minute drive from Ohio State a big factor too. “It’s like getting a two year head start,” Sawyer said. “I’m right there.
