COLUMBUS, Ohio — Ohio State is expected to have nine players drafted in the 2019 NFL Draft according to Bleacher Report’s Matt Miller. Should all nine be drafted, it would be the third highest total in the past 20 seasons. Since 2000, Ohio State has had at least 10 players drafted in a single year twice. The Buckeyes saw 12 players drafted — including five first-round picks — led by Joey Bosa, who was taken by the San Diego Chargers with the third pick in 2016. In 2004, the late Will Smith headlined a 14-player draft that included three first-round picks. In the 86 years that a Buckeye has been selected in the NFL Draft, six times — 1957 (11 players), 1971 (13 players), 1975 (13 players), 1976 (11 players), 2004 and 2016 — has that number reached double digits.
