Ohio State can compete, but isn’t good enough to win in the Big Ten: Buckeye Analysis

COLUMBUS, Ohio — Ohio State held a point differential of minus-one in Big Ten play coming into its Saturday matchup with No. 24 Maryland. Offensively, it averaged 64.7 while allowing 65.7 points per game suggest that’s Ohio State isn’t necessarily as bad as the stats might show. The Buckeyes are good enough to compete with any team in the Big Ten, but they aren’t good enough to finish the game. Four of its losses have been by 10 or more points and three of them have come to the team sitting at the top of the conference. Usually, those double-digits losses have been defined by a stretch where the Buckeyes’ offense becomes nonexistent.
