Ohio State Cruises To 90-70 Win Against No. 22 Iowa Behind 29 Points From Justin Ahrens

Ohio State hadn’t beat a top-25 opponent or a team in the top six of the Big Ten – until Tuesday.  With just a couple weeks remaining in the regular season, the Buckeyes garnished their NCAA tournament resume with a 90-70 win against No. 22 Iowa at the Schottenstein Center behind a second-half outburst from freshman Justin Ahrens. Their overall record improved to 18-10 and 8-9 in the Big Ten. Ahrens, starting his second game in a row, provided a scoring spark with 25 of his 29 points coming in the second half. His nine points against Maryland were his prior career high. Ahrens hit 6-of-10 3-pointers and had nine points during Ohio State’s 12-2 run in the second half that increased its lead to 18 points with 8:41 remaining.
