Photos: Terrel W Carey/Tribune staff THE Ohio State University Buckeyes visited Nassau for their 12th annual Cruise for Cancer charity event yesterday. Some 1,000 cruise passengers participated in a three-mile run/one mile walk from Pompey Square to Arawak Cay and back to their cruise ship as part of the event which raised funds for cancer research. Minister of National Security Marvin Dames, an alumnus of the university, was at the event and expressed pride that his alma mater had chosen the Bahamas for the venture. “I’m extremely proud this morning,” he said yesterday. “As you know I’m an alumni of the Ohio State University and today what we have is the Buckeye Nation in the Bahamas and they are here for a very special cause. “I hope this is the beginning of a very strong relationship.
