Ohio State Decimated By Purdue In 86-51 Blowout Loss

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. – Grady Eifert began the barrage. His 3-pointer four-and-a-half minutes into Purdue’s game against Ohio State on Saturday broke a 7-7 tie and began a nearly six-minute stretch without the Boilermakers missing a shot. By the time Purdue missed its next shot, it had made seven field goals, including five 3-pointers in a row, and pulled out to a 23-13 lead. The Boilermakers didn’t end there, though. As the teams headed into their respective locker rooms for halftime, Ohio State was looking at an unrecoverable from 28-point deficit that only worsened. Purdue continued its dismantling of the Buckeyes in the second half, eventually beating them, 86-51, Saturday afternoon at Mackey Arena. Ohio State’s 35-point deficit was the worst of the season.
