The 2019 NFL Scouting Combine is the books. If you are a fan of watching former college football players run around in skin-tight clothing, trying to impress NFL coaches, general managers and scouts while doing very little of what they will do once they are on an NFL team, then you’ll have to wait another year. While making fun of the combine is easy, it is a useful tool for NFL personnel and it was again this year. The combine should certainly not be the final decision maker on if or where a team drafts a player, but it does provide a chance to confirm what they saw on film or maybe makes a team go back and take a second look at a prospect.
