Penn State powers closer to Big Ten wrestling title, advances 6 to finals to lead over Ohio State

MINNEAPOLIS – It wasn’t realistic to think that Penn State would advance its entire eight-man contingent it had in Saturday’s Big Ten semifinals into Sunday’s championship final, but a six-pack of victories should very well enable the Nittany Lions to earn its first conference title since 2016. Nothing really came easy for the Nittany Lions, but it’s not supposed to be problem-free in the Big Ten. Penn State got off to a rough semifinal-round start with losses by Nick Lee and Brady Berge but peeled off six straight wins to pull out to a 131-112.5 lead over Ohio State.
