Holtmann impressed with freshmen's play in Michigan State loss

Friday afternoon did not go as Ohio State hoped. The Buckeyes looked to upset No. 1 seed Michigan State in the third round of the Big Ten Tournament. The Scarlet and Gray fought hard, sticking with the Spartans for much of the game before eventually falling 77-70. While Chris Holtmann certainly would have liked to see his team continue on in the conference tournament, the Ohio State head coach was actually in a good mood following the defeat. Despite losing to Michigan State for the third time this year, he was pleased with how his team played against the country’s sixth-ranked team. “That’s a good team.
