Ohio State opens as an underdog to Iowa State in NCAA Tournament

Ohio State is going dancing in March for the second consecutive year. The Buckeyes, who were the definition of a bubble team when the 2018-19 regular season ended, were selected into the NCAA Tournament’s field of 68 teams on Sunday night as a No. 11 seed in the Midwest regional. The reward for the Scarlet and Gray is a date with Big 12 Tournament champions and No. 6 seed Iowa State. Given Ohio State is the lower seed and was a question mark to make the tournament as recently as last week, it’s no surprise that the Buckeyes are the underdog in this matchup. According to the Westgate Sportsbook in Las Vegas, the Cyclones opened as a six-point favorite over the Scarlet and Gray.
