Four Ohio State athletic programs were publically recognized by the NCAA on Wednesday for academic performance. The awards are distributed each year to teams that score in the top 10 percent in each sport based on their most recent multi-year Academic Progress Rates (APR). The APR is an annual score of academic achievement calculated for all Division I sports teams. The Ohio State sports recognized were football, women’s golf, women’s soccer and men’s tennis. “The most recent release of the NCAA’s Public Recognition Awards finds a repeat recipient of the prestigious honor.
