It’s the college football offseason, which means there’s plenty of speculation and projection about the upcoming season. On Monday, ESPN’s Adam Rittenberg (Insider only) continued the network’s offseason future power rankings, this time focusing on the best offenses in college football. The Worldwide Leader ranked the projected top 25 offenses, not just for 2019 but beyond. ESPN’s rankings take into account the next three seasons — 2019, 2020, 2021 — while also looking at current players, potential NFL departures and incoming recruits. Ohio State lost plenty of offensive talent following the 2018 season. Quarterback Dwayne Haskins, wide receivers Parris Campbell, Terry McLaurin and Johnnie Dixon, running back Mike Weber and offensive linemen Michael Jordan, Isaiah Prince, Demetrius Knox and Malcolm Pridgeon are all gone.
