Stuck behind Justin Fields, Ohio State QB transfers to TCU

Justin Fields has just about cleared out the Ohio State quarterback room. Tate Martell already had departed for Miami, and now Matthew Baldwin is the latest Buckeyes QB to skip town. Baldwin, a redshirt freshman coming off a torn ACL, has revealed he’s headed to TCU. He had entered the transfer portal three weeks ago following a redshirt year in Columbus. “Just four or five years ago (TCU) was in the talk for the College Football Playoff,” Baldwin told 247Sports. “They struggled last year, but they had a lot of injured guys. They can be a very winning program. The coaches were great. I knew coach Sonny Cumbie a bit before I chose Ohio State. I like coach (Garry Patterson) a lot.
