Ohio State’s baseball team picked up a 7-4 win at Youngstown State on Tuesday. Things were not looking good early for the Buckeyes (28-24) who fell behind 4-0 against the Penguins (12-38). However, OSU junior first baseman Conner Pohl smashed a grand slam in the fifth inning to knot the score at 4-4. (Pohl was 3-for-4 on the night.) Then the Buckeyes’ star player — junior right fielder Dominic Canzone — gave OSU the lead with a 2-run homer in the eighth inning. Canzone is batting .360 on the season with 15 HRs. Ohio State will conclude its regular-season schedule — and perhaps its season in general — at Purdue in a three-game series that begins Thursday.
